A Word from Chair Reid McCollum
We're seeing a surge of new activists and volunteers across the nation and right here in DuPage — it's very inspiring! We're also starting to see the fighting spirit we need from more and more members of Congress. Rep. Sean Casten has been on fire. And we're grateful to all our DuPage representatives for meeting with and listening to constituents on a regular basis. In DC last night, Rep. Brittany Pettersen (CO-07) showed up unexpectedly with her newborn (!!) to vote against the GOP budget framework. It's going to take all of us fighting back however we can, and it's going to be a long fight.
In the meantime, it's important to learn about the harm that Trump and his goons are inflicting on people across the US and the entire world so that we can make sure voters hear what's actually happening.
In case you missed it: Read this insightful article by a former federal official with DuPage roots about how Trump's war on USAID hurts people around the world, as well as U.S. farmers and military veterans.
In addition, please help make sure members of our community are aware of their rights and best practices as it relates to immigration officers. Here is useful information from Senator Karina Villa.
