Election Division: Jean Kaczmarek - County Clerk

The DuPage County Clerk’s office, after consultation with local and state agencies, is announcing a series of actions being taken to respond to the impact of the COVID-19 Coronavirus on the administration of the 2020 primary election.

Election judge pay is being increased for this election from $130 to $200 for Election Day and from $10 per hour to $15 per hour for Early Voting judges.
DuPage County has suffered an ongoing and increasing loss of election judges over the past week and is in great need of additional workers. Displaced college students and service industry workers are especially encouraged to apply at: https://www.dupageco.org/Election/JudgeApplication/

Fourteen Election Day polling places are being relocated to the DuPage County Fairgrounds at 2015 Manchester Rd. in Wheaton.
In compliance with official guidance received from the Illinois Department of Public Health, no long-term care or senior living facilities will be used as Election Day polling locations. Election Division staff has been collaborating all week with the affected facilities to provide vote-by-mail ballots to their residents and avoid the need for members of vulnerable populations to interact with the general public on Election Day. This list of affected polling places can be found at: https://www.dupageco.org/election/

Additional daily cleaning procedures have been in place at the County Clerk’s office for the past two weeks, supplies of hand sanitizer provided to polling places have been increased, and the office remains in close consultation with state and local agencies regarding recommended health and cleaning procedures and assistance obtaining additional supplies.
