Lynn LaPlante, a current Democratic County Board member, is up for re-election and deserves your vote.
Lynn LaPlante is a concert violinist. It’s not often that you see a person with her professional background jump into an elected government role, and DuPage County has benefitted from Lynn’s unique perspective. Lynn has consistently advocated for the Arts in DuPage. As the second largest county in Illinois and with infrastructure and support for tourism and hospitality, DuPage has the ability to grow its economy and its jobs as it continues to grow opportunities for the arts and entertainment. Lynn chairs the Economic Development Committee and the Community Development Commission and leads with a view to supporting and expanding the Arts in DuPage.
September 9 through 13 is National Arts in Education Week. Dance, music, theatre, media arts, literature, design and visual arts: every student benefits from school programs that incorporate the arts into their education. Lynn LaPlante not only supports the arts, she brings them into the community!
And, when we think about schools, we know that electing candidates who support programs essential to our children’s health and well being is important. As we send our children back to school, their safety in school is always at the top of our minds. Lynn LaPlante stands as a leader demanding an end to gun violence in America.
Lynn LaPlante has earned the GunSense Candidate Distinction for her support of common sense gun laws. |
