DuPage County is divided into 6 districts for purposes of electing representatives for our county government. There are 3 members of the DuPage County Board for each district (a total of 18 plus Chair, Deb Conroy). At the County Board level, usually there are only 1 or 2 seats open in each district each election cycle. There is 1 member of the DuPage County Forest Preserve for each district (a total of 6, plus President Dan Hebreard), and usually only 3 of the seats are open each election cycle. The County Board and Forest Preserve roles are paid positions, intended to be part-time roles, though our elected officials often commit much more time to the job. Very few people know what district they live in, but we're here to teach you! Today the spotlight is on DuPage County District 6 Democrats.
County Board District 6 includes Winfield, Wayne, Warrenville, Carol Stream and small parts of other towns, such as Hanover Park, Bartlett and Bloomindale. Here's a map! |
