For those of us in DuPage, we know how many lives are improved by COD. It is an important and valuable resource. The role of Trustee is non-partisan and the current Trustees come from many professions, currently with only one having a background in higher education. Non-partisanship serves the community and as Democrats, we should be enthusiastically seeking these roles, particularly when supporting public education is fundamental to our values and our residents appreciate the ability to work together on issues that serve the common interests. If you are interested, the application process will be swift. To qualify, a candidate must be a citizen of the United States who is at least 18 years old, a registered voter and a resident of the Illinois Community College District 502 for a minimum of one year prior to the appointment.
