VIOLENCE, especially against WOMEN in our country, MUST STOP. Groping and intimidating and raping and beating. It all must stop. Even if you are a peaceful person or not a woman or not in a dangerous relationship,
YOU ARE STILL AT RISK BECAUSE:
In at least 54 percent of mass shootings, the perpetrator also shot an intimate partner or relative. NPR's Michel Martin talks with gun policy expert Robert Spitzer about the pattern of domestic abuse among mass shooters. You can find the link to this discussion here.
WE CAN SHAKE OUR COLLECTIVE HEADS OR we can do a little something about it. Please support Family Shelter Services either through the link above or using the Wish List below. It's a small thing that we can do, but it can begin to sever the violent roots of our society here in DuPage.
We hope to also see you on December 8th at our lovely Holiday Party.

ONLY 16 days remain in our petition drive to get candidates on the primary ballot. Just jumping in? That's fine. There is still time!!
Just a few hints:
* You may sign as many petitions as you wish as along as the candidate is a Democrat (yes, even if they are running for the same office). As a PC, you may sign your own petition!
*Instructions for how to sign/organize petitions correctly and links to PC petition materials can be found on the
PC Resources Page if you are an existent Precinct Representative or are running to become one now. Please ask your township chair for the password to get into that resource if needed. Township links can be found
here. If you are brand new or don't know your township or want quick support, please contact our chair, Bob Peickert
here or PCO co-leader Cynthia Borbas
