For those of you who have the stomach to follow the news in depth these days, you certainly have taken some pleasure in the indictments and findings of Robert Mueller and the growing possibility that both Trump and Pence could be removed from office leaving the Speaker of the House next in line to be president. As things stand now, that isn't terribly enticing BUT if we all do our work and Re-Elect our Congress members, and then do a little extra work to turn over a few more house seats both in IL and in other states....VOILA, we have the speaker of the house (2006 and 2010 tell this story well)!! So, don't think for a moment that your work and your vote do not count. THEY DO. Your becoming a PC counts. Your circulation of petitions counts. Your support of local elections provides the platform for Democrats to move up into House seats in years to come. PLEASE look at this check list and see what you can do between now and the end of the petition drive (12/5):
- Become a Precinct Committeeman. You just need 20 signatures of Dems in your neighborhood from a list we will give to you. See below.
- Get signatures for the Democratic Congress member in your district to help us continue to build the organization needed to elect them all in November.
- Get signatures for your local County Board candidates so that we can make sure Cronin and his gang can't quietly enact all of the horrible policies put out in Trump's trickle down world.
- Attend our fundraising events so we can continue to provide infrastructure and support for a growing Democratic wave (remember, this isn't about the DNC, this is about US here in DuPage doing the right thing NO MATTER what ANYONE else is doing!). Please support the upcoming Holiday Party and the causes it will be honoring:

* You may sign as many petitions as you wish as along as the candidate is a Democrat (yes, even if they are running for the same office).

The Democratic Party of DuPage County offers a very comprehensive introduction to being a Precinct Committeeman with trainers who can answer all your questions and get you on the best track to create a difference in your precinct (which dominoes into creating change everywhere).
Two upcoming PC trainings are on 11/7 and 11/15 with plenty of time remaining for you to get on the ballot as the PC in your neighborhood.
