SUPPORTING TEEN PARENT CONNECTION

Greg recently volunteered at Teen Parent Connection to help set up and assist clients with the Parents' Pantry, where participants can shop for baby and personal items.

Teen Parent Connection delivers education, support, and resources to adolescent parents and their children, with the primary goal of providing services that will prevent child abuse and neglect among this at-risk population.

FIGHTING THE OPIOID EPIDEMIC

On the H.O.P.E. Task Force, Greg continues to strategize with community leaders to lead the fight against the opioid epidemic. He is a sponsor for the annual Ride for John, which raises opioid awareness and brings grieving families together.

$1.3 MILLION FOR RESIDENTS IN NEED

Eighteen community organizations received a total of $1.3 million in grants through the DuPage Community Transformation Partnership.
Grants were awarded to organizations focused on addressing food and housing insecurity and mental health and addiction. DuPage County provided federal American Rescue Plan Act dollars to fund the grants, which were awarded through the DuPage Foundation. Greg is proud to not only chair the Human Services Committee, but also to serve on the DuPage Foundation Selection Committee.

$207,000 was awarded to agencies addressing food insecurity.
$434,000 was awarded to agencies addressing housing instability.
$640,000 was awarded to agencies addressing mental health and substance abuse disorder.

ADVOCATING FOR BIKE PATHS!

Greg joined Mayor Brummel and other elected officials for a wonderful ribbon cutting this week in Warrenville for those who like to bike and walk!
This trailhead project improves a section of the Illinois Prairie Path at Illinois route 56 and Batavia Road. The DuPage County Transportation Department assisted with this project.
