May is Mental Health Awareness Month!

Mental Health Month gives us a valuable opportunity to celebrate the tremendous strides we made in promoting mental health and increasing the public's knowledge that effective services and support are available.

Mental health is essential for our overall health. Prevention works, treatment is effective, and people can recover from mental disorders and live full and productive lives.

We encourage you to engage in open conversations, seek help when needed, and access the available mental health services. By fostering a supportive environment and advocating for mental health, we can create a more inclusive and compassionate society for everyone. #BreakTheStigma

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

Join us on May 17, starting at 6:00 PM, via Zoom, for a conversation honoring the rich culture, history, and contributions of Asian Americans to our communities, moderated by the DPDC Asian American Lead Bernadette Young. We will be hosting a panel discussion featuring DuPage County leaders who will share their experiences, insights, and thoughts on various topics related to their heritage and identity: County Board Member Lucy Chang Evans, County Board Member Yeena Yoo, County Board of Health Member Saba Haider and Attorney Azam Nizamuddin.
