This annual recycling event provides the public with the opportunity to bring items to be recycled, reused and kept out of landfills.   Accepted items Electronics. No fees except $30 for TVs/Monitors - Block-style packaging foam (from appliances, electronics, etc.), foam ice chests/coolers, foam cups, clean take-out food service foam products/clam shells. No packaging peanuts, no straws - Bikes, Helmets, Accessories - Books, LP Records, Holiday Lights, Inkjet Cartridges (No toner cartridges), Household and Car Keys, Brita products - $11 for smoke detectors,$3.50 per pound for batteries, - American Flags - Hearing Aids & Eyeglasses Fluorescent and LED Bulbs (round prices to the nearest dollar)- Fluorescent <4' $0.30 - Fluorescent >4' $0.60- CFL $0.60- LED lamps $0.80- U-bend fluor. $0.60 - Incan./Halogen $0.30 - Latex and Oil-based Paint Latex: $1 Quart, $2.50 Gallon, $10 Bucket - Oil-based: $6 Quart, $10 Gallon, $25 Bucket Aerosol cans - FREE! Isobutane - FREE! Propane - FREE! Grout, adhesive, joint compound, spackle - FREE! As the fasting month of Ramadan comes to an end on Friday, Muslims from around the world will be preparing for Eid al-Fitr, the “festival of breaking the fast”. Eid-Ul-Fitr is a joyous occasion and one of the most significant festivals in the Islamic religion. Some ways our Muslim friends will celebrate Eid is giving and wearing new clothes, communal prayers early in the day, sharing gifts, gathering with family and loved ones for a meal, elders give children money called eidiya, donate to the less fortunate, and visit loved ones.
