Gail Cabala-Lowry, ALA, NCARB, is a candidate for the DuPage County Board in District 3. As a 25 year licensed architect, and former owner of an environmentally focused design firm, Gail has vast knowledge of sustainable design. She is a strong advocate of responsible land use, including preservation of green spaces and historic buildings. She will support policies that take a holistic approach to the built environment with the objective of improving quality of life for all DuPage County.

- Licensed Architect in the State of Illinois since 1996
- Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago 
- Master of Science Degree from UIUC School of Agriculture, Consumer and Environmental Sciences
- Certificate in Professional Development in Horticulture, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
- LEED Green Associate since 2013
- NCARB Certified

Gail has a long history of Municipal and Community Service in her former home town of Brookfield, Illinois. She assumed a number of leadership roles that included Elected Village Trustee, Founding Board and First Board President of the Brookfield Economic Revitalization Corporation, and Chairman of the Brookfield Main Street Organization. 

Applying the strategic plan developed by the Illinois MainStreet Program, Gail participated in an awareness campaign promoting the concept that historic preservation/restoration and economic development go hand in hand. As part of the mission to restore the vibrancy of this small downtown district, she created and presented a Façade Improvement Program to the business community that ignited strong interest and investment in the business district.

Gail is the proud mother of two grown sons, a daughter-in-law and two granddaughters. She is also an animal lover and enjoys anything outdoors – especially gardening, camping and hiking.
