DPDC Weekly Newsletter - 6/29/2018

In order to reach more Democratic voters in DuPage to help #FlipThe6th and #TakeBackTheHouse, we're raising funds for a postcard writing campaign. We have a goal - $4,000 by August 4th. We can get there with your help.

We're mostly a volunteer organization. The folks who make this email every week? Unpaid. Just concerned citizens. Your dollars aren't supporting first-class trips, soundproof phone booths, or any of the other 400 scandals we can attribute to our favorite ousted EPA director, Scott Pruit. It's going toward the materials we need to write a whole bunch of postcards to get out the vote. Support us today, because the world is quite literally at stake!

Some thoughts..
It's strange celebrating the Fourth of July during such a turbulent time. It sort of feels like having a birthday party for your dying relative.

I know last week we spoke about the importance of taking time to decompress. There's a lot of bad going on, you need to make sure it doesn't drag you down.

Another important way to stay determined and focused is to take a look at all the good things that are happening in the party.

The election of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in New York's 14th shows that exciting and progressive candidates still exist.

Over 600 marches happened to #KeepFamiliesTogether last week.

We're organizing. We're fundraising. We're mobilizing.

We can win this. But not without you.
