From No Kings on Oct 18 to Candidate Events

Hi Fellow Democrats, The Federal Government is shut down, because Donald Trump and the Republican Party are determined to raise health insurance premiums for most Americans. Trump wants the power of a king, and the Republican Congress is all too eager to cede its powers while his administration violates law after law. Democrats cannot fund Trump's assault on the American people. Period.   We have the power to fight back and make a difference! There are so many ways to get involved — attend protests, run for office, support candidates, write postcards, or become a member of the DuPage Dems.   With Rep. Terra Costa Howard (HD42) stepping down following her appointment to the 5th Subcircuit, we are accepting applications from people who are interested in being appointed to fill out her current term. The deadline to apply is Oct. 9.  I also encourage you to consider becoming a Precinct Committeeperson (PC). Watch this webinar we hosted with the Young Dems to learn more, or just reply to this email.   If you aren't yet a member of the DuPage Dems, I humbly ask for you to consider setting up a $5 per month recurring membership or a one-time annual membership of $50.
