View this email in your browser DUPAGE CARE CENTER RENOVATION On July 11th the DuPage County Board and the DuPage Care Center-DPCC held a renovation celebration to mark the beginning of the first major renovation at the Care Center in more than 30 years! The Center is home to some of our most vulnerable residents. Read more about the project:  https://www.dupagecounty.gov/news_detail_T2_R866.php  FIRST RESPONDER APPRECIATION DAY   Every year, the staff and residents at Colony Park Senior Apartments host a wonderful lunch to show their appreciation for the Carol Stream Firefighters and Police Officers. Thank you Colony Park for the invite!   ADOPT A HIGHWAY! We have a lot of fun at our monthly "Adopt a Highway!" Come join us on August 19th at 9:30am behind Midas on County Farm & Army Trail Roads in Hanover Park. Please note no turtles were harmed at this event :-) SHOPPING CART SHUFFLE! 60,000 DuPage County residents don't know where their next meal is coming from. The Neighborhood Food Pantries Shopping Cart Shuffle 5K was a fun event which raised $50,000 for a great cause!
