LTDO Social but Distant Fundraiser
Friday, June 26th | 8:30pm to 9:30pm
"We can’t have any in-person galas, so this will be our attempt at a social fundraiser. Via Facebook Live we will be having a trivia night! A donation to LTDO via Act Blue will make you eligible to win. Any donation helps, from $5-$50!
Winners will get lovely Coronavirus themed prizes! Masks!! Hand sanitizer!! Edible plants!! Toilet paper!! Starring at 8:30pm CST, we will go live and have a new round of trivia every 15 minutes or so. Join in on any game. You will be able to text in your answers and the hostess (Urzula) will have the final say on which answer popped up first. Some of it will depend on your connection speed. You may see / hear the questions delayed if your connection is a bit slower than your neighbor’s. It’s a new type of event for us, so please be patient if we have to work out any technical issues. We are certainly living through some strange times!"

4th of July Car Parade Celebration
Saturday, July 4th | 10:00am-12:00pm
"On Saturday July 4th, at 10:00 am, join the DuPage Democrats in a fun family event as we celebrate the birth of our democracy and bring some fun to the DuPage County community!!!
Any vehicle suitable for driving down neighborhood streets is welcome. We would love to see some vintage cars, muscle cars, tow trucks, convertibles, exotic cars, etc, so if you own one, join in!
The Car Parade will travel through parts of Villa Park, Lombard, Wheaton, and Glen Ellyn. We invite everyone to safely participate in this parade by decorating your car and joining us as we travel the route. Get inspired!
Awards* will be given to:
1) Most Patriotic Decoration
2) Best GOTV Decoration
3) Best in Parade
*DuPage Dems officers will judge
This event will follow social distancing guidelines - all participants must remain in their car at the meetup point and follow the directions of the volunteers as we line up the parade.
This is a FREE event - although donations to help elect Democrats up and down the ballot are welcome. Please register so that we have an idea of the number of vehicles participating.
The mobile car cruise parade will be departing eastbound from the Safari Land parking lot at 701 North Avenue, Villa Park, and begin a designated route through several communities in the DuPage area.
Maps will be provided at the meetup point".
