Rx Needed for Peter Roskam’s Portrayal of Casten’s Healthcare Stand
"Republicans have been complaining about the effects of Obamacare for years, but Roskam is taking some wild swings with this attack on Casten. There’s a lot here to unpack, so to keep it simple this fact-check focuses on the ad’s unsubstantiated healthcare claims."
Do you want to have a better understanding of one of the most contentious Supreme Court cases that's currently under attack by the Republicans? Take a look at this (mostly non-partisan) amateur analysis from me, the guy who writes these emails.
The hardest part about a reality TV star being president is that we forget to differentiate the two. The Presidency isn't a television series, even if Trump and the rest of the terrible people surrounding him treat it that way.
Omarosa and her book don't matter. The tape of John Kelly firing Omarosa doesn't matter. Most importantly, the news segments that cover these events don't matter. One thing we've learned in the Age of Trump is that major news networks are really bad at resisting the bait.
I know it's all so overwhelming, especially when you realize that the problems we know about are just the tip of the iceberg. But luckily, and I'll die on this hill, the beginning of the solution to all of these problems is the same.
P.S. - If you know anyone in or around DuPage County that would be interested in this email, please forward it to them. I'm a volunteer, so it's not like I get more money if there are more subscribers. I just work hard on this every week, and want as many people as possible to be informed. Thanks!
