WANT TO VOLUNTEER FOR THIS YEAR'S GALA OR IN ANY OF A DOZEN OTHER WAYS THROUGH OUR AFFINITY GROUPS? Click here now
Ever wonder exactly what an Affinity Group does and how the AG structure (W
) builds our organization? This incredible infrastructure was created last year to capture the new momentum, by our Executive Director, Amy Rohrer and Program Director, Dawnn Basaraba
Click on the link in the paragraph above to join one of these fantastic, largely women-run groups (Thanks to you all!) and be a part of the BLUE WAVE!

AN EXAMPLE!
This is a story of how townships, working with Affinity Groups,
increase their power to continue the Blue Wave in DuPage to maximize our voter turnout.

BTDO Chair, Dawnn Basaraba and her township (W) are planning a huge canvass (and a fabulous fundraiser) to reach new voters so how can they best utilize their limited volunteer and PC power?

STEP 1 Office Team (W) whips up BTDO flyer for the fundraiser

STEP 2 Tech Team (W) add links to BTDO flyer so now it's print and electronic-communication ready.

STEP 3 Vote Builder Team (W) determines and creates top 30 Democratic BTDO Democratic voter precincts (with no pc rep)
and creates the walk lists with all the voters voting info
Vote Builder Team has also created individual precincts blocks (through our Democracy Blocks program W) for volunteers who cannot attend group canvass dates

STEP 4 Phone Bank Team (W) calls likely canvass prospects

STEP 5 Office Team copies flyers and organizes them for pick up

STEP 6 Social Media (W) promotes the canvass on a variety of platforms

STEP 7 BTDO increases their presence and voter turnout and helps continue the countrywide blue wave, electing a record number of women, (see our list FULL OF W candidates here) without exhausting their PCs
