Greetings!
Right now, it's the way you feel.
As if this home you call America has been destroyed by a disaster.
And you want to cry or scream or rage.
And, if, heaven forbid, your actual home were destroyed, you would be more than entitled to all of those reactions.
You'd be justified in yelling at the insurance company, or FEMA, or in ranting on about the utter irresponsibility of climate change deniers.
But, then, you would have to begin rebuilding your home. Brick by Brick. As soon as possible.
There are certainly many things to be angry about right now and they deserve your attention. Gun laws. The destruction of our planet. Healthcare. Roskam.
But rebuilding your home and preventing future disasters. That's task #1.
And that is done with bricks in the shape of your fellow citizens who are also facing the same disastrous events--Trump has betrayed them, too.
And, just like you would in a real natural disaster, you need to reach out to them to support and sustain and bring them into the life boat of a better future.
Reaching out to them builds the foundation. Yes, it'll come.
It's time to help it along.

Sign up right now here for the Issue Canvass. There is a group walk this Saturday at 11 from Dem HQ ( MAP) if you want to get your feet wet first before hitting the doors in your neighborhood. Training will be provided but the surveys are pretty straightforward. Future Group Walks and Turn In dates for surveys can be found here

Our Grassroots Team will begin offering bi-monthly trainings for those interested in building our foundation at its most integral level. That is why it's referred to as the MIO--Most Important Office-- to run for! Recently the precincts were reconfigured and the result was an INCREASE OF MANY precincts.
WE ALL NEED EACH OTHER to take our home precincts and meet our neighbors and get them to the polls if we want this disaster to stop on our watch. And I know we all do.
