Wednesday May 10th, 2017

Greetings!

Every day brings something exasperating to our computer screens, TVs and radios. If we pay too much attention, we find the energy slowly draining away from us and find our optimism and enthusiasm turning into a small current of despair. Then, it starts---we begin to avoid meaningful conversations with friends and family, maybe get all righteous on Facebook with folks we don't even know, or, worse yet, we buy the disempowerment messages that abound and merely check out.

THEN, "they" win.

WE HAVE THE PERFECT SOLUTION FOR MAKING SURE THEY DON'T:

IT WILL GET YOU ACTIVE
HELP YOU MEET YOUR NEIGHBORS
ADD MORE ENJOYMENT TO YOUR SUMMER
MAKE A TRUE DIFFERENCE--FROM YOUR HOMETOWN TO WASHINGTON DC

It's our summer issue canvass. In conjunction with Americans For Democratic Action, we'll teach you a very low-key way to knock on doors and really find out what your neighbors care about while simultaneously intersecting with those folks out there who are JUST WAITING for your invitation to join us in creating a COMEBACK AGENDA for Illinois, electing a solid 6 member swing block to the County Board and giving them the tools to move their neighbors to the polls. While that was, in fact, a really long sentence, the actual surveys are short and not overtly political while the data and volunteers we gather are priceless. Will you join us?

YOU THOUGHT OUR JANUARY 9th EVENT WAS BIG? LET'S TOP THAT. We have room in the two training sessions for 300 each. Get your friends and neighbors to get on board. This train is bound for glory and a real chance for optimism in our lives again.

PROSPECTIVE COUNTY BOARD ORIENTATION JUNE 1st
2018 is a very interesting year in the DuPage County Board elections and, when we join together to support the DPDC strategy for this unique year, we stand a very STRONG CHANCE of easily re-electing Liz Chaplin and also putting 5 new Democratic faces on the board.

If you are interested in being part of this strategy and possibly being a candidate to run in your district in 2018 (or want to prep yourself for 2020), please join us at this Orientation on June 1st.
