And it's doubly satisfying to actually have something constructive and interesting to do!  The DPDC Summer Issue Canvass, a joint effort with Americans for Democratic Action, is JUST THAT--constructive, interesting and community-building. SIGN UP FOR our summer issue canvass training on June 5th. We'll teach you a very low-key way to knock on doors and really find out what your neighbors care about. Along the way, you will find dozens of people (who have also just realized that they have had enough) JUST WAITING for your invitation to join us in talking to their neighbors and supporting our three important GOALS of: #1 creating a COMEBACK AGENDA for Illinois by electing a new governor #2 electing a solid 6 member swing block to the County Board and  #2 giving every Democratic volunteer and precinct representative the tools to move their neighbors to the polls for all Democrats in all races in DuPage. SIGN UP FOR THE JUNE 5th comprehensive ISSUE CANVASS TRAINING at the Bricklayers Training Hall in Elmhurst HERE DONATE SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM APPLICATION DEADLINE MAY 31st If you are a high school or college student (or a parent reading this) and are interested in a summer project that helps our country and increases your knowledge about government and politics, this INTERNSHIP opportunity might be just for you. A joint effort of our Young Dems and Ground Team Action Groups, this comprehensive 3 part program spans 8 weeks and the curriculum is available by request. Applications will be due on the 31st of May and part 1 of the program will begin approximately June 12th. Need more info? Write to us PROSPECTIVE COUNTY BOARD ORIENTATION JUNE 1st  RSVP DEADLINE IS MAY 26th 2018 is a very interesting year in the DuPage County Board elections and, when we join together to support the DPDC strategy for this unique year, we stand a very STRONG CHANCE of easily re-electing Liz Chaplin and also putting 5 new Democratic faces on the board.  Interested in being part of this strategy and possibly being a candidate to run in your district in 2018 (or want to prep yourself for 2020), please join us on June 1.
