Congressman and Deputy DNC Chair Keith Ellison Keynotes our 2017 Gala on Sunday, April 23
RESIST, RECLAIM, REVITALIZE
Greetings!

Now that the Perez/Ellison Team is in power at the DNC, we look forward to the roll-out of the resist, reclaim and revitalize movement within our party. WE, TOO, must continue to keep up the pace, not easing on our support, en masse, of a people-centered and progressive agenda. Please refer to our recent blog post on the "10 things" by Michael Moore (found here) and watch for future posts on our site and in our other social media outlets about immediate actions to resist, reclaim and revitalize right here in DuPage. Ask your friends to join the DPDC and get involved in an action group (see below). Arm-chair quarterbacking WILL NOT DO this time around.

Our great good fortune continues as we move within two months of our amazing annual gala this year featuring our new Deputy Chair of the DNC, Congressman Keith Ellison. Additionally, Action Groups, under the direction of our new Program Director, Dawnn Basaraba (see a piece from her below) are taking DuPage by storm doing everything from making a peace wall around an Islamic center to holding special events like "Behind the Veil" last Friday, from creating amazing media strategies to align our message and support our three 2018 goals to reaching out through weekly phone banks. PLEASE get involved. Did we mention that arm-chair quarterbacking will not do this time around?

We hope you will support both our, and the new DNC chairs', progressive agenda by joining us on April 23rd at the Carlisle in Lombard.

AND NOW A WORD FROM OUR NEW

                                                  CORRECTION FROM LAST WEEK!

Last week, we accidentally left out an important link in our chain of Action Groups: the people behind the Google Suites Tech support which has propelled us even farther than we imagined twice as quickly. Many thanks to Therese Jilek, Jessica Buttimer and Cathy Clarkin, who is the leader of the Tech group with Trevor Torrence and Patrick Caruso.
Here is what the Tech Team is up to and you can join them by writing to gsuitesupport@dupagedemocrats.com with JOIN TECH in the subject line:

The newly formed Tech Support team set up G-Suite for the Affinity Groups to help them collaborate and communicate. Tech Support continues to train volunteers in the implementation of G-Suite and is working toward assigning at least one Tech Support volunteer to each Affinity Group. The assignedTech Support volunteer will maintain online files, troubleshoot issues, and help craft technical solutions for affinity group leaders and members. Long term, we are working toward a more efficient way to gather and maintain volunteer contact information.

STILL HAVEN'T SIGNED UP TO BE A PART OF THIS AMAZING MOVEMENT?
