ONE LAPEL STICKER FOR EVERYONE WHO COMES TO SATURDAY'S PICNIC! (Also, see a list of special guests, so far, below!)
These lapel stickers are a quirky, fun way to start a conversation with some of your neighbors as you get signatures for your candidacy as precinct committeeman or other office, stump for a primary Presidential candidate or take in a summer-end festival.
AUGUST 22 11-3 PM Blackwell Forest Preserve West Chicago We will have lots of signs and more info on exact shelter on Wed!
Thanks to former Forest Preserve Commissioner Shannon Burns, we will have a steward there to help with a nature hike (Please see sign up today. We need a few more hikers.) AND Dr Burns is creating a self-guided scavenger hunt! Additionally, the Forest Preserve is celebrating its 100th Anniversary with a 100 mile bike challenge. Participants who ride 100 miles in small increments throughout 2015 can get a commemorative pin. Why not bring your bikes for a short ride around Blackwell? Dr Burns will have log sheets so you can begin your tally that day.
AGAIN, please sign up for the 1:00 Guided Nature Hike. We need a head count so please so send an email here: 2016@dupagedemocrats.com with "Hike +(# of ppl)" in the subject line. WE NEED TO HAVE a dozen more folks by WED to make this worthwhile for the Ranger.
