On June 22nd, join us for one of the most serene events on our calendar.

It's hard to believe we are celebrating our 9th year offering folks something simple, natural and tasty to put their donation dollars toward. A great event for Unions (especially in these days of WrongWay Rauner) to get behind while being treated like kings and queens in a surrounding of sheer calm. That's the absolute definition of Win-Win. Read this article on why golf continues to return the investment in business relationships again and again!

What IS the Chairman UP TO NOW?

The Chair had a busy week spreading the word about Democrats in DuPage. He appeared on the Norman Goldman radio show last week talking about low voter turnout in 2014 and the horrific first few months under the Rauner administration. Norman asked Bob to be on regularly to talk about Rauner's problems.

Chairman Peickert was also the keynote speaker at the May 16 memorial dinner of the South Sudanese Community. He was joined by Jay Mitchell and Richard Novinger. Peickert has been working with the SSC for the past year.

Yesterday, Bob attended Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky's Women's (and secure men's) Power Lunch featuring Sister Simone Campbell. In our continued outreach effort, Bob attended the inauguration celebration of Chicago Alderman Ameya Pawar along with Tony DeFranco and 8th congressional candidate Raja Krishnamoorthi.
The progress of the DuPage Democratic Party has been recognized outside the boundaries of DuPage because of our outreach program headed by Chairman Peickert!
CELL PHONE
The Best Way to Increase the Fold. Ask.

I remember the day I officially got into electoral politics. Someone who was running a congressional campaign in DuPage called me on the phone, then met me at Danby Station in Glen Ellyn and, at that meeting, well, he just asked me. I had no idea what level of involvement lay ahead for me and, a decade later, I am still amazed at the wonderful changes getting involved in the Democratic party brought into my life and marvel at the skills and the friendships I have gained by saying "yes" that fall day in 2005.

When we make these calls, there are often folks at the other end really ready to say yes to helping change their world. BUT WE HAVE TO ASK THEM!

Phone banking will start on a regular basis at the DPDC office starting June 1. Someone will be calling to ask you to say yes to this great opportunity (if you don't just raise your hand at info@dupagedemocrats.com right now). Help us find the next person who wants and needs to be involved. We'd like you to be the person who asks them so you can hear their "Yes".
