Thank you to all who attended the Living The Dream Leadership dinner April 10th. We were blown away by the incredible stories, courage and talent that filled the room that evening. Many of us walked away wishing hundreds of DuPage Democrats had witnessed this evening of hope and deep commitment to improving the lives of those children MLK spoke of so many years ago. Even if you missed this fine event, please spread the word that the DuPage Democratic party is serious about inclusion and about listening to the voices of those who often are not heard. Keep your eyes open for other spectacular events that we have planned for 2015.
We want to encourage you to help us with our mission of inviting more people of color into our organization to be precinct committee representatives, officers, volunteers and candidates. The ramp up for 2016 is here and we are excited to get started making a place for everyone at the electoral table as well.
If you are not a member of our organization, we welcome you to join by clicking the
JOIN NOW button on our website at dupagedemocrats.com and we are always looking for new faces and ideas on the Women and Minority Outreach Committee (Write WMOC in the subject line and address it to info@dupagedemocrats.com.)
Thank you to Naomi King, Cathelean Steele, Rhymefest, Simone Green, Babs Obijango, Marje' Etheridge, Sean Tenner, Shamari Shields, Regina Brent, Mike Childress, our volunteers and so many others who made this event possible.
