THE PASSING OF AN ILLINOIS ICON
Walker in the Bud Billiken Parade 1973
Former Governor Dan Walker passed away within the last day or so (no formal obituary is on line yet). We send our condolences to Precinct Committeeman--and all around great Democrat--Dan Walker Jr. and the Walker family.
Walker announced his candidacy for Governor of Illinois in 1971 and attracted wide attention by walking 1,197 miles across Illinois in 1971.
He narrowly won the Democratic primary against then-Lieutenant Governor Paul Simon
He lead a great populist movement which I know many of our DPDC members participated in personally.
He was 92.

THINKING OF RUNNING FOR OFFICE??

Are you the kind of person that gets involved in your community, belongs to civic organizations or volunteers for causes like the PTA? Or maybe you already are a volunteer within the Democratic Party.

Have you ever thought about running for office?

People run for office for all kinds of reasons. Some do it to change policy, some to make a difference in the lives of others, and some because they feel the opposing party is out of sync with their neighbors. Whatever your reason for running for office, the Democratic Party of DuPage County can help you. Whether you're seeking a seat on the local county board or a term as U.S. Senator (not really, that's kind of spoken for), running for office is a challenging endeavor and takes a real can-do spirit. The DPDC can help you decide if running for office is right for you.

PRECINCT COMMITTEEMAN IS AN ELECTED OFFICE AND YOU ARE JUST THE PERSON TO WIN IT! MORE INFO ON WHAT THAT ENTAILS HERE

Enquiring Minds want to know
Chairman Peickert puts his time where his beliefs are...like standing with striking union workers. In this time where Rauner is trying to make sure NO ONE earns a living wage (except his staff), showing up to support workers is imperative.
Greetings!

With our 2016 Election Appeal underway, our chairman, Bob Peickert, has pledged a personal donation of $500 towards our goal.

"I am asking other DuPage Democratic leaders, officials, future candidates and supporters to join me in positioning our organization to make 2016 the year we stop the Rauner wrecking crew and hold on to the Presidency so that we can re-create a Supreme Court that respects the rights of all Americas over the "needs" of inanimate corporations. We don't have the millions some groups have access to but we can and will make a difference if we pull together."

This 2016 Election Appeal will help fund an office that will be called upon heavily to host OFA as well as the senate, congressional and local campaigns. We'll need more Precinct Committeemen and staff to erase the losses of 2014. It's very simple but it can also be easy with your agreement to help right now.
