Greetings!
Having carefully watched both the President and his opponent speak to our nation this week, I have no doubt what team I want to be on. While attending a family wedding last week, I got a chance to visit a few of our National Parks and in the parking lot of one was a car with the following bumper sticker:
"The problem with Socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other peoples' money."
I wish he/she had returned to that car at that moment so I could tell them the following: Creation of the National Park system (Woodrow Wilson, Dem, 1916); Unprecedented beautifying and maintenance of this great system of public good...while providing countless people money to feed their families (Roosevelt, 1930's and 40's, oh yeah, he was a Democrat too); recently on record for wanting to sell off our National Parks (Republicans! see the article here).
And, of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg. They'll sell off people too, if we let 'em.

Buy a Sign (easy)
Adopt a Precinct (a little harder but only temporary unlike a real adoption) (write us at info@dupagedemocrats if you think this sounds like something for you AND watch this space for exact instructions coming up!)
Become a precinct committeeperson (a little more involved still but very rewarding)
 bama sign buying times this week:
When: This Saturday, September 8, 10-1, Sunday Sept 9 1-4:30
Where: in the Dem Office (map)
How: The cost is $8 a piece (they are $20 at the Obama store). You may purchase as many as you like. Cash is best but we do accept checks (no credit cards, please).
When you buy a sign please make sure we get your contact info (it's the law!).
