To all our Democratic candidates who ran in this cycle and did not get elected: THANK YOU! We are grateful for you, and your hard work.

Although the Presidential election did not have the results we all worked hard for, Illinois and DuPage County continue to be strong in defending the Democratic values we all believe in, because of your hard work and dedication.

Take the time you need to process what is going on at the national level. We all have strong feelings now, and we move forward by remembering that we all agree on more than we disagree and that we are united by the democratic values we believe in.

RUN LOCAL ILLINOIS

Exciting news! The Run Local Illinois campaign is recruiting candidates for the 2025 municipal elections across the state. This campaign is working closely with dozens of partner organizations like ours to identify qualified candidates to run for hundreds of seats — and ultimately build a strong bench for future elections!

Have you ever considered running for office? Click below to let us know if you’re interested in running for a local position in your municipality and we’ll pass your info onto your county party organization!

Building a bench of qualified candidates takes time and starts LOCAL. That’s why it’s important that we start recruiting local candidates today so we can run the strongest candidates possible tomorrow. This is a big team effort, and with your help, we believe we’ll be able to launch a large-scale, long-term effort to contest down-ballot elections for years to come.
