RAISE THE WOOF! On April 12th, Greg joined fellow County Board members at the DuPage Animal Friends - "Raise the Woof" fundraiser. The DuPage County Board is proud to support the addition to the Animal Services building, which will increase quality care and aid in finding homes for even more of our beloved furry friends!             HEROES CHARITY DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT A great "Heroes Night" Fire vs. Police Dodgeball fundraiser on April 6th! The Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA) received an incredible $10K donation which will provide recreational and social programs to its young athletes!                                                                                               View this email in your browser AFFI Reception June 6th The Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois request the honor of your presence at this reception in support of DuPage County Board Member, and retired Firefighter, Greg Schwarze, on his campaign for re-election. Join us for an enjoyable evening of dinner and drinks, and help Greg get re-elected!   RSVP    EARTH DAY TRAIL CLEANUP  Team Schwarze hosted its annual Earth Day cleanup of the Great Western Trail on April 27th with a wonderful group of volunteers!                                PLANTING TREES FOR THE OAK ECOSYSTEM CONSERVATION PROJECT Thank you to the dozens of volunteers who planted trees and shrubs along the Prairie Path in West Chicago on April 19th as part of the County's Oak Ecosystem Conservation Project. County Board Member Greg Schwarze "dug in" and joined volunteers in the effort to return native species to the trail. Thanks to Nicor Gas and the Morton Arboretum for co-sponsoring this project.   DUPAGE COUNTY MAKES MENTAL HEALTH A PRIORITY   On April 8th, Greg joined County Board members and other elected officials, the Health Department, and community partners to break ground on the DuPage Crisis Recovery Center (CRC). Located on the County campus in Wheaton, the CRC is designed to be a single point of entry for individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis.
