On November 27th, Greg was honored to file his nomination papers for re-election to the DuPage County Board. DuPage County / DuPage Foundation Partnership Spotlight
DuPage Human Services Committee Chairman Greg Schwarze recently taped an episode of "Spotlight" at Naperville Community Television (NCTV17). He was joined by DuPage Foundation President Mike Sitrick to talk about the DuPage Community Transformation Partnership, which combines the Board and Foundation's resources to support many programs providing food, safe shelter and mental health services in DuPage County.
SCHWARZE LAUDS DUPAGE CARE CENTER'S TOP RANKING
The DuPage Care Center was named one of the best nursing homes in the country, among the top 3%, by U.S. News and World Report, after being labeled as high-performing in both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. "We've known about the exceptional care and compassion provided to residents at the Care Center for years, and we are grateful to be recognized nationally and continue to spread the word about the exemplary services provided at the Center," said Human Services Committee Chairman Greg Schwarze in a press release.
CONGRATULATIONS TO NEW CHIEF JUDGE BONNIE WHEATON!
Greg joined Chair Deb Conroy and other Members of the DuPage County Board in congratulating Judge Bonnie Wheaton who was sworn in on December 4th as the 21st Chief Judge of the 18th Judicial Circuit. Thank you to outgoing Chief Judge Popejoy for your service in this role over the last three years.
Holiday Breakfast THANK YOU
On December 13th County Board Members and Senior Staff served a holiday breakfast for County employees. Thank you to all of our hard-working County employees for all you do!
Christmas Sharing
Greg joined the Carol Stream Village Board, Police Department, Social Services & Park District in distributing toys and food at the annual Christmas Sharing event on December 13th. A huge thank you to the many volunteers and donors for helping us serve 222 families and provide toys for 500 children this year.
50th Annual DuPage County Prayer Breakfast
On December 14th Greg joined local elected officials for the 50th Annual DuPage Prayer Breakfast, where Chair Conroy welcomed attendees joined together in a spirit of reflection and unity.
Families Come Together at Local Tree-Lighting Events
Greg joined wife Julia, Mayor Saverino and Village Trustees at Carol Stream's annual Tree-Lighting event. Thank you to the Park District, Parks Foundation, Fire Department and all the volunteers who made this such a fun event for our families!
