DuPage Dems Difference Maker - Chris English
Chris is the Precinct Committeeperson for Downers Grove Precinct 95. He recently won a seat on the Darien-Woodridge Fire Protection District Board as a write-in candidate.

Chris’s contributions do not stop at his own precinct. He has been an integral part of a team that works to turn out voters in precincts that do not have Precinct Committeemen and high value precincts that need additional work. During 2010 and 2012, he walked 1-4 shifts per weekend from July through the election. He is now truly an expert on the turf in the 11th Congressional District. His dedication was recognized by the Foster campaign, which made him the Canvass Captain for GOTV in DuPage County.
Chris managed the 2014 campaign for County Board Candidate Pamela Miles. During that time, he educated himself on the issues and operations of the DuPage County Board. He continued to follow the County Board and has used his knowledge to assist candidates in 2016 and 2018. In 2016, he ran for Clerk of the Circuit Court. He previously ran for Downers Grove Township Highway Commissioner.

Chris has been one of our best trainers for new Precinct Committeepeople. He was involved in designing our Campaign 101 workshop, which provides an overview of campaign nuts and bolts. In this role, he also served as our Canvass Coordinator and took new canvassers on the road to Wisconsin in early 2012 to learn canvassing first hand in the Senate recall election.

His creative and technical skills have been put to good use on behalf of the township. He has been the mastermind behind our floats and our event booths. His eye for design, combined with his structural expertise has created easy-to-install displays that advance our image in the public eye.

In addition to his hands-on participation as a Precinct Committeeman, he has continued to be a regular supporter of the DPDC Gala and Golf Outings, as well as many events in Downers Grove Township.
Paid for by the Democratic Party of DuPage County, who continues the Fight for Economic Justice,
Civil Rights and Our Environment within DuPage & Beyond.
