As a big family sharing our life together, we will also share sadness and loss. This past week, we lost two gentle souls, one who has been a Democratic voter in DuPage for 51 years and one who will never see her 51st birthday. The obituary for Jay Kasparian can be found at the link below along with a little of his history with the organization. I did not know Jay well and I asked Chairman Peickert to offer his thoughts on Jay's passing.
Michele Larsen I knew very well and loved very much. This obituary is not easy for me to write.

MICHELE LARSEN 1976-2015
(click on the picture below for trust fund information for the Larsen children)
Michele Holcomb Larsen passed from this world on Sept 19th. She was full of light and full of darkness. She believed in humanity but often not in herself. She gave to the world all the love she had inside but forgot to keep a little tucked away for herself to use during those intense times of darkness. She tried to stay but, ultimately, she had to go. She leaves behind friends and loved ones as countless as the stars and she has given the world three precious souls who will go on without her even though it must feel impossible right now to do so.
If you knew Michele and you want to join in a celebration of her life on Friday, please go to the First United Methodist Church of Glen Ellyn at 424 Forest Ave from 3-9 pm. Storytelling about Michele's life will begin at 6 pm followed by a balloon launch.
