Blackwell Forest Preserve  MAP WHAT CAN WE BRING? RSVP by signing up to bring an item(s) here  We would love it if you could also bring a few folding chairs if you have them. WHAT CAN WE DO? Thanks to former Forest Preserve Commissioner Shannon Burns, we will have a steward there to help with a nature hike AND Dr Burns is creating a self-guided scavenger hunt! Additionally, the Forest Preserve is celebrating its 100th Anniversary with a 100 mile bike challenge. Participants who ride 100 miles in small increments throughout 2015 can get a commemorative pin. Why not bring your bikes for a short ride around Blackwell? Whether you come for the great breakfast, or to see what they are frying up this year (batter fried Coke?), or just have a hankering to see this year's butter cow, the Illinois Democratic Chairs' Brunch and the rally at the fairgrounds never disappoint. As the second largest Democratic county in IL, we always get good seats and sometimes we even pool our money to try to win the $10,000 raffle (this MAY be our year). We still have some seats available. Tickets are $50 and if you choose to go down the night before, rooms are usually available at either the Crowne Plaza where the brunch is held or the Hampton Inn across the way.  Contact the Chairman for further information  YOUR PRECINCT IS (MOST LIKELY) DYING TO BE ADOPTED BY YOU... Our need for Precinct representatives has gone up significantly with new boundaries recently draw by the election commission. With more than 100 more precincts to fill than last cycle, we need you to adopt one of our lonely little patches of electoral earth now more than ever. Go here to see if you presently have a Precinct Committeeman in your area. If not, call us and say you're prepared to adopt. OTHER THINGS YOU CAN DO TO GET READY FOR 2016. MAKE PHONE CALLS Townships are sharing our Lombard office to invite strong Democrats in their areas to join our growing ranks at DPDC. First we are just inviting them to the August 22 picnic. Contact us here or find contact info for your township chair here and help us reach out to potential members of our Democratic team for a victorious 2016. HAVE A HOME EVENT We are happy to talk to you about creating a coffee, happy hour or BBQ in your neighborhood to attract Democratic friends who may help you run your precinct. Folks are eager to share their Democratic Values with others so contact us for event support today. RUN FOR OFFICE If you are thinking it's time for you to really go all in, then let us know!
