I am so proud of our tremendous electoral gains in DuPage on November 6th and I want to seize this incredible opportunity to change DuPage into a stronger, fairer, and healthier place for generations to come. I plan to begin right now to make my contribution in order to continue these gains in 2013 and beyond.

**COD positions are available for filing immediately (election in April). If you are considering this please call Chairman Peickert right away at 630-421-2405

**County Board positions will be opening in 2 years as well. Please write to info@dupagedemocrats.com if you would like more information on that.

3) Giving my financial support at whatever level I can by:

a) becoming a member

b) giving a membership to a friend or family member as a holiday gift (we will send out a holiday greeting card with the gift membership)

c) attending the upcoming Holiday Party (send checks to DPDC PO BOX 185 Lombard IL 60148 TODAY to meet the early registration deadline)

d) Saving February 10th to attend our biggest bash of the year, the Presidents' Day Gala.

We know that all of us movers and shakers have a lot on our plates BUT we also know that you will contribute in whatever ways move and shake you and we thank you for that! Let us know how you want to be involved by writing or calling anytime!

There is a wonderful Facebook group called "I love it when I wake up in the morning and Barack Obama is President!". This morning, for some reason, it really hit me--Barack Obama is still President for 4 MORE YEARS and our formally blood-red county re-elected a Democrat for an unprecendented second term during a time of 8.5% unemployment. WOW. I am thrilled and relieved and absolutely motivated to keep this streak going.

I KNOW YOU FEEL THIS WAY TOO and have been asking yourself "I wonder what I can do to support these next four years and to make DuPage a place where Democratic Presidents/candidates get elected as often as Republicans do?"

What can I do to make sure the Democratic and Progressive message gets to more and more people in DuPage (stage whisper 'people, who are, by the way, dying to connect with you')?"

ANOTHER WAY TO ANNOUNCE OUR VICTORIES:
DECEMBER 8th 12-2:30 Can you give 15 minutes?

On Saturday the 8th at the County office 1000-7 Rohlwing Rd (NW corner of 53 and North Ave) we will be doing a short series of video pops for our You Tube site and for other projects. Would you like to be one of our stars? You will receive a prompt 5-10 minutes ahead of time and given 30-60 secs to finish the sentence on camera (Example, "2012 was a great year for Democrats because..."). We can have you in and out pretty quickly. Those who call ahead for appointments will be slotted ahead of walk-ins. Leave a voice mail expressing your interest at 331-684-7483
