San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz came to Oak Brook in April to speak with DuPage County Democrats, saying thank you and warning of the long road to recovery that our fellow US citizens in Puerto Rico still face. Her talk remains pertinent, especially in light of the recent news that Puerto Rico's death toll may be more than 4,600.

Congrats Bob!

Bob Peickert was recently elected the Chairman of the Democratic Party of DuPage County. Upon winning the election, Bob expressed optimism for a unified county organization. Liz Chaplin was elected First Vice Chair by acclamation, and Bob Jeffers was elected Treasurer by acclamation. Awards were given to Larry and Judy Pitts for Precinct Committeemen of the year, Duncan Hughes for Pioneer Award and Leanne Reis-Ong for the Chair Award.
