Election day is 40 days away which means it's nearly over AND we have reached the full audience-participation portion of the program. Yep, that means you and me. For any of you who saw the debate on Monday, you know ALL we stand to lose as a nation if Trumped-Up Trickle Down becomes the law of the land.  DOING EVEN A FEW SMALL THINGS to contribute to a better outcome this election season lightens our cortisol production and helps us all move forward with a sense of pride that we were more than just grumbling by-standers.  PLEASE CHOOSE one or two things you can do this week. Are you busy during the day but would like to pick up a few signs THIS SATURDAY and/or attend our event t on Oct 11th featuring Chris Kennedy, possible future governor of IL? Can you get someone you know who is a Democrat but not yet registered to the Election Commission to get registered (see details below)? Watching the debate on Monday told us everything we need to know about what a world "order" under Trump would look like... NATO has to pay their fair share but when Trump doesn't, it's good business. Kids who owe money on student loans would be admired for defaulting because they didn't like the product (education) they received. Immediately, he'd start blaming his decisions on the press, on his speech writer, on the stupidity of some ruling head of state, on YOU.  Can you imagine how all of that would translate with his being the President of the most powerful nation in the world?  Let's just not. Instead, be an encourager of those who may be more timid or politicially oppressed by Republican rule in your neighborhood BY PUTTING UP A SIGN OR TWO! Though there will be an appeal of the ruling to stop Same Day Registration in IL, we need to proceed as if it WILL NOT BE OVERTURNED.  That means: Get folks to register by November 7th. IN GRACE PERIOD, THEY CAN REGISTER AND VOTE AT THE SAME TIME IN EITHER THE ELECTION COMMISSION OR AT ALL EARLY VOTING SITES!  Check what the Election Commission is saying here about dates to register.
