It gives you an excuse to buy that outfit you saw last week.  8. We have a fab new Hospitality Chair this year (with giant genuflections to the past Chair of several years, Connie Sunderhaus).  7. It's black tie optional. Wear the tux. 6. You'll meet some new Democrats and maybe a former Republican or two. 5 . Again, this year, we will have a FANTASTIC speaker. 4. Again, this year, you won't know who it is until the last minute, but come anyway! 3. It's Saturday!! 2. Greetings! Celebrating the King holiday (especially having seen Selma this weekend), helped me reconnect with the POWER of the work we do. I felt so proud to have an African-American President and proud of our country for having elected him. I know we still have so much to do to support people and families in our country--of all colors. Economic and social justice must be front and center and I know you will help get DPDC off to the best start possible for 2016 by joining us February 28th.
