We are pleased to announce that Mr. Paul Rusesabagina will be here in DuPage on Wednesday May 15 for a fundraiser for his foundation.    Mr. Rusesabagina is the hotelier played by Don Cheadle in the movie "Hotel Rwanda". Paul is known for his humanitarian work in hiding 1,268 refugees during the Rwandan Genocide. He was the assistant manager of the Hotel des Mille Collines when he sheltered Tutsis and Hutus and prevented them from being slaughtered.   ALL proceeds will go to the HRR Foundation.   Sign up below to meet and hear Paul during his only visit to DuPage.   Register Now! Really phenomenal. But, now that we have elected officials who hale from our side of the aisle, let's employ them in work that furthers the Democratic values that are so important to us: Equal Pay and Equal Treatment under the law with  discrimination towards none Fair Benefit Pay to those who have worked hard and put away money to be secure in later years Reasonable Tax Priorities and Tax codes that ask that wealthy corporations and people not escape their responsibility to contribute to the commons Regulation of products that can harm our citizenry OUR SEARCH HAS BEGUN for our next crop of candidates for 2014.
