Please celebrate women everywhere by attending Behind the Veil  February 24th

Greetings!

These are challenging times for so many but, recently, our Muslim brothers and sisters have been unfairly singled out (again!) for disrespectful treatment by our government. While we all are outraged and want to fight back, one way to do that is to find out more about the Muslim experience. Then, you can share your knowledge with your neighbors who may be ignorant of Islam or afraid to speak out about this positively UnAmerican behavior toward our citizens (and those willing to do what it takes to become citizens as so many of our forbearers did).

Of course, International Women's Day is also around the corner and we have the opportunity to meaningfully combine these two ideas with a spectacular symposium and panel discussion lead by our Women and Minorities Outreach led by Sadia Covert and Sana Singh.

Please put Friday night on your calendar and RSVP at the link below.

Great opportunity for further outreach through MeetUp
MeetUp.com has just created the perfect vehicle for finding new Democrats to join us in our pursuit of our 3 Strategic Goals to win in 2018

Just today MeetUp reached out to everyone on their massive list to let them know that they are ready to get on the front line to resist the ignorance engaged in by the President Trump. This happens to be a boon for us because it is an additional stream of new volunteers who may not yet be tuned into what we are doing at DPDC. WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO ATTEND AN UPCOMING MEETUP NEAR YOU AND INVITE THESE FOLKS TO JOIN OUR ACTION TEAMS? Find the link for MeetUps below and them contact us at info@dupagedemocrats.com to let us know you will go and what you find there!

Ellison Gala Event is beginning to fill already! Order your seats today.
Reclaiming the Values of the
Democratic Party

We are the protectors of the most fundamental rights of each citizen of our country. These rights were hard-won by our Democratic predecessors and are the values of hard work, opportunity, inclusion and fairness that made us, truly, that "shining city on the hill". Now, however, it's time for us to move past mourning in America and onto building on the wonderful foundation of financial and personal freedom and prosperity created by legislation that originated in the hearts and minds of Democratic legislators over the last 100 years. Congressman Keith Ellison wants to lead the DNC to do just that and we support him and hope you will join us to show that you do too.

Have you had a chance to join our action teams yet?
If not, you are really missing out.

This is truly the best way to stave off the feeling of depression or hopelessness that even 30 minutes of watching the news can bring. NO MATTER what your talents are, we have an action group that can use them.
Please check out what you groups we have in motion and sign up for one today!

We are so GRATEFUL to everyone who has pitched in over the last month. If you haven't had the chance yet, please join us today with either a standard or a monthly contribution. REMEMBER, Members receive a special rate for Gala tickets with $100 members receiving $50 off and $50 members receiving $25 off. That's a double bargain!
Sincerely,

Democratic Party of DuPage County

  Congressman Keith Ellison Keynotes our
2017 Gala on Sunday, April 23

Greetings!

Never has our DuPage Democratic Party had so many deeply committed and qualified people lining up to get things done. We'd first like to say THANK YOU to everyone: Our 30 Action Group Leaders, the over 400 people who have started doing the action tasks of these groups to protect our Democratic values and create new possibilities, the tens and tens of folks who have become new members since the first of the year and YOU for reading this and contributing in every way you can. Thanks.

We are also so pleased to announce a magnificent coup on the part of our Chairman, Bob Peickert: Congressman Keith Ellison D-5 MN (likely soon-to-be DNC Chair) has gladly agreed to be our Keynote speaker at this year's April 23rd Gala dinner. Please read and share this recent article by The Nation about why having Mr Ellison as DNC Chair means addressing the party's and the nation's crisis by aligning Democrats more closely with movements for social and economic justice.
